Báo cáo cho biết, số người chết do AIDS giảm từ 2,2 triệu người trong giữa những năm 2000 xuống 1,8 triệu người năm 2010. Ðộng đất và tai nạn trên thế giới Theo Cục Khảo sát địa chất Mỹ (USGS), sáng sớm ngày 17-9, một trận động đất mạnh tới 6,6 độ rích-te đã xảy ra tại phía đông đảo Hôn-su của Nhật Bản, tâm chấn ở sâu 36,2 km.Tiếp đó xảy ra năm dư chấn mạnh với cường độ từ 5 đến 6,2 độ rích-te. Giá dầu mỏ thế giới tiếp tục giảm Theo tin nước ngoài, giá dầu mỏ trên thị trường thế giới trong phiên giao dịch ngày 25-1 tiếp tục giảm. Tại Niu Oóc, giá dầu thô ngọt nhẹ giao tháng 3-2011 giảm còn 86,19 USD/thùng. Tại Luân Đôn, giá dầu Brent biển Bắc giao cùng thời điểm là 95,25 USD/thùng.Tại châu Á, giá dầu tiếp tục giảm sau khi giảm hơn 4% trong chưa đầy một tuần so đầu tháng 12-2010. Trong phiên giao dịch ngày 26-1, giá dầu thô ngọt nhẹ ở mức 86,45 USD/thùng. Theo các chuyên gia, sự mất ổn định của nền kinh tế Anh và Mỹ, quốc gia tiêu thụ năng lượng nhiều nhất thế giới, là nguyên nhân khiến giá dầu thế giới liên tục giảm. Bão lụt tại nhiều nước trên thế giới Theo THX, chính quyền tỉnh Quảng Đông (Trung Quốc) cho biết, cơn bão Fanabi kèm theo mưa lớn gây ra lũ lụt và lở đất tàn phá nhiều vùng ở tỉnh này, đã làm ít nhất 13 người chết, 34 người bị mất tích, 346 ngôi nhà bị đổ sập.
