The provincial delegation visits and extends Lunar New Year greetings to the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Lang Son province; the Diocese of Lang Son – Cao Bang and the Provincial Representative Board of the Evangelical Church
On the morning of January 21, in Lang Son city, the provincial delegation led by Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and extended Lunar New Year greetings to the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Lang Son Province and the Diocese of Lang Son – Cao Bang on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025.
Accompanying the delegation were Mr. Dinh Huu Hoc, Member of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; representatives of several provincial departments, sectors and Lang Son city.
At the visited locations, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee briefed on Lang Son’s socio-economic achievements in 2024, emphasizing that these accomplishments were thanks to the mutual efforts of the political system and the people in the province, including significant contributions from Buddhist and Catholic dignitaries, officials, and followers in the province.
The Vice Chairman extended best wishes for health, happiness, and joy during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake to Buddhist and Catholic dignitaries, officials, and followers. He encouraged the religious dignitaries and officials to continue encouraging and guiding their followers in adhering to the Party's policies, State laws, and local government directives, fostering national solidarity and actively contributing to socio-economic development, humanitarian charity activities, and social welfare efforts in alignment with the principle of “Live the Gospel and serve God, homeland and the people.”
On this occasion, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented Lunar New Year gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son province to the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the Diocese of Lang Son – Cao Bang.
On behalf of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the Diocese of Lang Son – Cao Bang, Venerable Thich Quang Truyen and Bishop Chau Ngoc Tri expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the provincial leaders, affirming their commitment to encouraging religious followers to comply with the Party's policies and State laws and to contributing towards the continuous development of Lang Son province.
* In the afternoon of the same day, in Phuc Tien hamlet, Vu Son commune, Bac Son district, authorized by the provincial leaders, the provincial delegation led by the Director of the Department of Home Affairs visited and extended Lunar New Year greetings to the Provincial Representative Board of the Evangelical Church of Lang Son on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025.
The delegation included representatives from the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, the Provincial Public Security Department and the Bac Son District People's Committee.
At the gathering, the head of the delegation provided a brief update on Lang Son’s socio-economic progress, national defense and security, and social welfare achievements in 2024, highlighting the contributions of Evangelical dignitaries, officials, and followers.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Snake 2025, the head of the delegation presented Lunar New Year gifts from the province to the Provincial Representative Board of the Evangelical Church of Lang Son and wished the dignitaries, officials, and followers of the Evangelical Church good health and happiness. He expected them to continue promoting their tradition of “Live the Gospel and serve God, homeland and the people,” encouraging and guiding followers to actively comply with the Party's policies, State laws, and local government’s directives, and contributing to the development of Bac Son district and Lang Son province.
On behalf of the Provincial Representative Board of the Evangelical Church, Pastor Duong Van Ket expressed his gratitude for the provincial leaders’ attention and the delegation’s best wishes. He affirmed that pastors and preachers would continue to encourage and guide their followers to “Live the Gospel and serve God, homeland and the people,” adhere to the Party's policies and State laws, strengthen national solidarity, and fulfill the tasks of socio-economic development and national defense and security in the locality.
