The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received a delegation from the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Board visiting and extending Lunar New Year greetings

On the afternoon of January 20, the Executive Board of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha, led by Most Venerable Thich Quang Truyen, Head of the Provincial Executive Board, visited and extended Lunar New Year greetings to the Provincial People's Committee on the occasion of the 2025 Lunar New Year.

Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting.

During the meeting, Most Venerable Thich Quang Truyen also provided a brief overview of achievements in Buddhist affairs in 2024 and expressed gratitude to the Provincial People's Committee and other levels and sectors for their support and facilitation of the activities of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province.

The leadership of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Board expressed the hope of continued attention and support from the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, departments, and sectors, enabling the board to operate effectively and contribute positively to the province's overall achievements. On the occasion of the 2025 Lunar New Year, Most Venerable Thich Quang Truyen extended greetings to the provincial leaders, departments, sectors, and the people, wishing them a new spring filled with new achievements and successes.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee provided a brief overview of the province's significant achievements over the past year. He emphasized that these accomplishments included the valuable contributions of the Provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Board and Buddhist followers, particularly in the area of social welfare.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that in the future, the Executive Board would continue to encourage monks, nuns, Buddhist followers, and local residents to adhere to the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws. He also urged active participation in social welfare activities, contributing to building a prosperous, civilized homeland.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the Chairman extended his best wishes to the dignitaries, monks, Buddhists and their families for a healthy and happy new year.
