Strengthening Coordination in Preparation for the Vietnam-China International Trade and Tourism Expo (Lang Son 2024)

On the morning of November 18, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee for the Vietnam-China International Trade and Tourism Expo (Lang Son 2024), chaired a meeting to review the preparation for the expo.

According to a report by the Lang Son Provincial Center for Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion (the standing body of the Organizing Committee), as of November 13, 69 domestic organizations and 28 international entities had registered to participate.

The bidding process for services related to booth decoration and setup at the expo, plans for arranging and displaying booths, and efforts to invite and welcome domestic and international delegates to the opening ceremony have been meticulously planned by the responsible units.

Publicity for the expo has been conducted through media channels, visual advertisements, and mobile promotions. Measures to ensure public security, order, sanitation, and fire safety have been implemented in line with the plan.

At the meeting, members of the Organizing Committee and subcommittees reported on the progress of the preparation work under the responsibility of the industry. At the same time, they proposed a number of plans to improve the effectiveness of activities at the expo such as: plans for organizing activities at the expo; plans for displaying booths; propaganda, promotion, and trade promotion; work to ensure security, traffic safety and health, etc.

In his closing remarks, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee for the expo requested that the departments and sectors continue to closely coordinate in preparing for the expo. Members of the subcommittees were tasked with ensuring that their assigned responsibilities were carried out effectively.

The Lang Son Center for Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion was instructed to continue working closely with the Department of Information and Communications and the media to enhance publicity and promotion efforts.

All departments and sectors were asked to review their assigned tasks and focus on refining the organization of the expo, ensuring that the booths are arranged effectively, and developing detailed plans for the opening ceremony.

For departments responsible for specific activities within the expo, such as the Workshop on Tourism Product Development and Branding Lang Son Tourism by 2030, the Forum on Vietnam-China Agricultural, Forestry, and Aquatic Products Trade Connection, and the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between Lang Son People's Committee and Vietnam Airlines, they were asked to ensure all preparations are thoroughly checked, ensuring a solemn and efficient organization of the event.
