Over 680 runners participate in the “Chi Lang Heroic Spirit” Half Marathon
On December 15, the People's Committee of Chi Lang District held the “Chi Lang Heroic Spirit” Half Marathon 2024 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the district’s founding day (December 16, 1964 – December 16, 2024).
A total of 686 runners from various provinces and cities across the country participated in the event. The youngest participant was 6 years old, while the oldest, aged 83, came from Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province.
The marathon included several competition categories men's and women's individual races at distances of 5 km, 12 km, and 21 km. The race routes passed through landmarks and historical sites in Chi Lang commune, Chi Lang district.
At the end of the event, the Organizing Committee presented first, second, and third prizes to the top-performing runners in each category.
The “Chi Lang Heroic Spirit” Half Marathon was organized to promote physical exercise and sports activities, offering runners a platform for exchange and learning. Additionally, it served as an opportunity to highlight Chi Lang’s heroic historical traditions, cultural richness, and natural landscapes to visitors from within and outside the province.
