Offering Incense on the Occasion of the 4th Lang Son Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities in 2024
On the afternoon of November 18, on the occasion of the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Lang Son Province in 2024, the Congress delegation led by Mr. Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Congress Steering Committee, offered incense at the Memorial Site of President Ho Chi Minh and the Monument of Comrade Hoang Van Thu (Lang Son City).
At the incense offering sites, the delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers to commemorate the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and comrade Hoang Van Thu to the country's revolutionary cause.
Lang Son is a mountainous border province in the Northeast of Vietnam, with 83.91% of its population being ethnic minorities. In recent years, the province has consistently prioritized and effectively implemented ethnic affairs and policies for ethnic communities. The 4th Lang Son Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities in 2024 is themed: "The Ethnic Groups of Lang Son Province Unite, Innovate, Exploit Advantages, Potential, Integrate, and Develop Sustainably." This event holds profound political and social significance, summarizing and evaluating the achievements of ethnic affairs and policies from 2019 to 2024 and setting the direction and tasks for the period of 2024-2029.
The congress reaffirms and acknowledges the immense contributions of ethnic minority communities in Lang Son to poverty reduction, rural development, socio-economic progress, and international integration. It is also an opportunity to honor, praise, and reward exemplary individuals and groups among the ethnic minorities, serving as a forum for interaction, learning, and experience exchange, aiming to raise awareness, build consensus, and strengthen public trust in the Party and State.
Following the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh and the revolutionary tradition of Comrade Hoang Van Thuy, delegates of the 4th Lang Son Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities pledged to uphold the revolutionary spirit of their homeland, place trust in the Party’s leadership, continuously innovate and unite, and strengthen the great national unity bloc. They are committed to achieving the socio-economic development goals, contributing to the prosperity of Lang Son.
After the incense offering ceremony, the congress proceeded with the preparatory session, which included the election of the presidium, secretariat, and approval of the program and regulations for the congress. The official session will take place on the morning of November 19, 2024, at the Provincial Conference Center.
