Lang Son won many high prizes at the Festival of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures
From December 13 to 16, in Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province, the 2024 Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Festival took place with the theme "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Vietnamese ethnic groups with equality, solidarity, respect, integration and development for a peaceful world". The festival was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Quang Tri province.
At this year's festival, Lang Son delegation participated in 7 events and won 10 awards (including 3 A prizes, 3 B prizes, 3 C prizes and 1 third prize for the whole delegation's sports). Specifically, the 3 A prizes include: The excerpt of Then Nung "Khau tam co lum - Vao Tram cay da" in the content of the Mass Arts Festival; The performance of Nung ethnic costumes Cum Cot and Dao Lu Gang in the content of the performance of traditional ethnic costumes; and the performance of community tourism skills.
The three B prizes include: Pa Dung singing performance of the Dao ethnic group; an excerpt of the Dao ethnic harvest praying ritual in the content of the Mass Arts Festival; a booth displaying, introducing and preparing traditional cuisine. The three C prizes include: Pi Le trumpet performance "Excerpt of the Dao ethnic wedding celebration" in the content of the Mass Arts Festival; performance and introduction of excerpts of the Dao Lu Gang coming of age and ordination ceremony; and a space displaying the traditional ethnic culture of the province.
It is known that the 2024 Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Festival in Quang Tri province brings together 16 provinces and cities to participate: Bac Giang, Da Nang, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Lang Son, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Son La, Thanh Hoa, Hue, Vinh Phuc and Quang Tri.
The festival not only has the meaning of a cultural event, but more importantly, it is also an opportunity for cultural subjects, artisans, actors, and mass athletes of all ethnic groups to participate in exchanges, share experiences, and introduce the beauty of their own culture. Thereby, spreading the pride and sense of responsibility of each person and each community in preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities in the period of integration and development of the country.
