Eight medal sets awarded at the 2024 Provincial Pickleball Championship

On the afternoon of December 15, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism held the closing ceremony of the 2024 Provincial Pickleball Championship at Minh Anh Pickleball Court Complex in Lang Son City.

The tournament, spanning nearly two days, featured 236 athletes from 29 teams competing in over 170 matches across various categories: men's doubles Groups I, II, III A, III B; women's doubles; and mixed doubles groups I and II.

The matches were marked by a spirit of sportsmanship, fair play, and intense competition, delivering many thrilling moments for the enthusiastic audience in attendance.

The tournament concluded with the organizers awarding eight sets of medals to the top-performing athletes in each category. Athletes from Lang Son city secured three out of eight gold medals, while the remaining five were won by teams representing the Department of Education and Training, the Provincial Police, Lang Son Power Company, and the districts of Huu Lung and Cao Loc.

This first provincial-level pickleball tournament demonstrated professionalism and high-level expertise. Its success is expected to serve as a catalyst for fostering the development and growth of pickleball in Lang Son province in the future.
