Closing Ceremony of the 2024 Literature and Arts Creation Camp on "The Song of National Unity"
On the morning of November 16, in Lang Son city, the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, in collaboration with the Lang Son Literature and Arts Association, held the closing ceremony of the 2024 Literature and Arts Creation Camp with the theme "The Song of National Unity."
The event was attended by Nguyen Hoang Tung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son province; People’s Artist and Painter Vuong Duy Bien, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; leaders of various departments and agencies in Lang Son; 28 artists who are members of the Central Associations of Theater and Cinema, and Literature and Arts Associations of Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, and Bac Giang provinces.
This Camp, held from November 10 to 16 in Lang Son province, allowed participants to explore and create at various sites, including Huu Nghi Border Guard Station and Border Marker 1116 (Cao Loc district); Tan Thanh Pagoda and Tan Thanh Border Gate (Van Lang district); Na Duong basin, Ban Lai lake, and Chi Ma Border Gate (Loc Binh district); Chi Lang Special National Relic Area, Chi Lang Temple, and Hoa Hoi Rest Stop (Chi Lang district).
At the end of the camp, the artists produced 120 works submitted for professional review, including one work in the field of folklore, three in music, 49 in literature, 59 in photography, four in film, and four in fine arts. A selection of poetry and music pieces was introduced at the closing ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism congratulated the camp's success in inspiring creativity across various forms of art.
This year’s camp coincided with successful 11th Cultural, Sports, and Tourism Festival of Northeast Ethnic Group hosted by Lang Son and celebrations of the 193rd anniversary of Lang Son's establishment and the 115th birthday of Comrade Hoang Van Thu—a prominent revolutionary leader and typical son of Lang Son. Additionally, Lang Son province was proud to celebrate the recognition of Lang Son Geopark as a Global Geopark by the Global Geoparks Network.
The leader of Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism expressed hope that the impressions and inspirations drawn from Lang Son's landmarks would continue to fuel the creation of impactful works highlighting the province’s rich heritage.
Within the ceremony, the leader of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations presented works created during the camp to the leader of the Lang Son Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
