127 Projects Participate in the 2024-2025 Provincial Science and Technology Competition for Secondary Students
On December 16, the Department of Education and Training launched the Provincial Science and Technology Competition for secondary students for the 2024-2025 academic year. The competition featured 47 delegations from educational departments and high schools across the province.
To qualify for the provincial competition, project teams had already undergone school-level and preliminary provincial-level evaluations. This year, 135 projects were registered for the provincial competition, of which 127 met the criteria to participate. These projects included 41 in the biochemical sciences, 43 in social and behavioral sciences, and 43 in physical sciences, engineering, and information technology.
During the provincial competition, the jury evaluated projects based on criteria such as research questions and issues, design and methodology, implementation, creativity, and application, as well as exhibit presentation and interview performance.
At the conclusion of the competition, the organizing committee will select outstanding projects for awards and nomination to the national-level competition.
The Provincial Science and Technology Competition provides a platform for students to pursue scientific and technical research, applying their knowledge to address real-world problems. It fosters innovative teaching and assessment methods, promotes integrated education, and offers students an opportunity to showcase their research achievements.
